Harriet H. Lawlor Hurd was born in Wilmington, IA on August 13, 1908. Harriet was a stenographer at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1930 and unmarried. By the 1960s her name was Hurd and she had established a home and studio in San Diego, CA. She died there on February 28, 1992. A highly competent landscape painter, her works are rare.
