Irving Trabich (1915 - 2007)
Irving Trabich was born on April 28, 1915 in New York City. He went to City College of N.Y. to become an accountant, but at 19 became an artist instead. His mother, Bertha Trabich, was also an artist. She was a primitive painter, whose works are in the permanent collection of New York's Museum of Modern Art.
Mr. Trabich served in the Army as a draftsman and cartographer during World War II achieving the rank of Master Sergeant.
As a young man Mr. Trabich studied at the Arts Students League, the National Academy of Design, Pratt Institute, New York School of Fine & Applied Art and Columbia University. He drew and painted throughout his life,
