Biography   Kenojuak Pudlat

Kenojuak Pudlat (b. 1942)

He had a solo exhibition at The Guild Shop in Toronto in 1981.  His stone sculptures are very spiritual, alluding to the shaman and to the family.

He lived in Cape Dorset for much of his life but moved to Kimmirut closer to his source of good carving stone. He was to become an MLA in Nunavut legislature there. Now retired (2014), he no longer carves.
