Wallace J. Miller was born in Ohio on Oct. 27, 1863. Miller moved to southern California in 1874 and settled in San Diego. About 1895 he was called to Riverside by Frank A. Miller, owner of the Mission Inn, to work there. By 1914 he was a partner of William Noonan producing statuary, architectural ornamentation, and fountains. He was active in San Diego until his death in Los Angeles on Dec. 20, 1921.
