Dagmar Alix Haarbauer Mitchell was born in California on Feb. 14, 1908. Dagmar was the wife of W. Fink Mitchell. She studied at the CSFA under Ralph Stackpole and in Paris with Bourdell and Rodin. She settled in Sacramento in 1930 and was active there into the 1940s. Mrs. Mitchell died in Santa Cruz, CA on Jan. 7, 1996. Her specialty was portrait busts.
