Alleen Miriam Cozad Morrison was born in Kansas City, KS on June 15, 1895. Alleen Cozad studied at the Kansas City Art Institute. About 1912 she moved to northern California and further studied at the CCAC. In 1916 she married John Morrison and lived in the San Francisco Bay area until her demise in Oakland on May 16, 1968. She was the mother of artist Shirley Morrison.
