Harold Herbert Elliott was active/lived in British Columbia, Ontario / Canada.  Harold Elliott is known for figures in landscape, abstraction, fauvism, surrealism, expressionism.

Harold Herbert Elliott (1890 - 1968)

A painter, Harold Herbert Elliott (also signs: Harold Elliott, H.H. Elliott, H.H.H., and occasionally stamped: Van Volkingburgh) was born in Gananoque, Ontario (75 miles south of Ottawa and 75 miles north of Syracuse New York) and died in Burnaby, British Columbia.  His medium was oil on panel; his subjects were almost exclusively figures in landscapes, shapes, colors, and textures; and his styles were Surrealism*, Fauvism* and Expressionism*. The AskART illustration is an early example and very typical of his work.
