Harold Herbert Elliott (1890 - 1968)
A painter, Harold Herbert Elliott (also signs: Harold Elliott, H.H. Elliott, H.H.H., and occasionally stamped: Van Volkingburgh) was born in Gananoque, Ontario (75 miles south of Ottawa and 75 miles north of Syracuse New York) and died in Burnaby, British Columbia. His medium was oil on panel; his subjects were almost exclusively figures in landscapes, shapes, colors, and textures; and his styles were Surrealism*, Fauvism* and Expressionism*.
