Darwin Y. Taylor was born in Idaho on July 24, 1921. After serving in World War Two, Taylor majored in education at Western State College and began painting. Most of his landscapes are of the desert around Palm Springs. He died in Riverside, CA on January 22, 1975. He was a patron of the arts at the City of Hope and a member of the Desert Art Ass'n.
