"Why I left the nine to five in my 50's to become an artist is best left to the local mental health counselor. In short, however, there came a time when I realized it wasn't a matter of if; it was a question of how.
A self-taught artist, I have been painting full-time for five years. I am moved by the half light of dawn and dusk, and most of my paintings are of the southwest Montana and Yellowstone Park areas. A piece of my heart resides there, due in large part to the poetry associated with the convergence of family and friends, moving water and mayfly hatches.
Influences include friend and Utah artist Connie Borup, Mark Rothko, Russell Chatham, the Impressionists, Wolf Kahn, Albert Ryder, and my father,
