Albert John Kramer was born in Ohio on May 7, 1908. Kramer was an interior decorator in Cleveland, Ohio in 1930. He lived in New York for a few years where he was a member of Associatd American Artists that sold his works through department stores and mail order. He later settled in Los Angeles became active in the local art scene. He painted in a naïve or primitive style á la Grandma Moses to produce scenes of Americana, and signed his works with only his last name. He died in Los Angeles on November 4, 1991.
