Biography Lan-Song Hsu
Born in Taoyuen, Taipei in 1923 and graduated from Tokyo's Tama Art
University Oil Painting Department. His master was Okubo Sakujiro and
Nakamura Kenchi. After returning to Taiwan, he worked at Changhua Bank
and the local township; starting an art printing factory. He also
created art pieces and have been selected to enter Provincial
Exhibitions, Tai Yang Exhibitions, etc. several times. He frequently
travelled around the world to retrieve materials; his expertise was in
landscape and portraying objective realistic images of the world. Due
to a stroke that occurred at an old age, he became blind in his left eye
and still continues to persist in painting with just one eye.
