Biography Donna Perkins
Donna C. Perkins (1920-2008) was a noted Freeport, Illinois artist. She studied with her mother-in-law, Stella M. Perkins. Her early inspirations were the photographs of Alfred Stieglitz as well as Aaron Bohrod's street scenes. She began to exhibit in 1953.
For thirty years Perkins was a contributing artist to the Art Rental and Sales Gallery at the Art Institute of Chicago until 1987 when the gallery closed. She also exhibited in Sarasota, Florida at the Annual National Exhibition, Art USA and the Old Orchard Invitational in Chicago.
