Biography Catherine Henson Manley
A native of Minot, ND, Catherine Henson Manley spent most of her long career teaching art and related subjects in Flagstaff, Arizona schools. Mrs. Manley attended UCLA as an undergraduate, and studied art, English and education. She went on to earn a masters degree in art from USC in 1941. Her husband, Ray H. Manley, was a freelance photographer, and her son Ray Manley Jr. is a vacation tour operator.
Catherine Manley's personal interest in poetry, photography and Native American art, as well as her enthusiasm for Zane Grey is reflected in the collection of her papers at the Arizona Foundation.
