James McBride Pericord was born in Pasadena, CA on February 24, 1924. James first learned to paint from his talented mother, Emily McBride Pericord.
He studied at Pomona College and served with the 10th Mountain Divison in Europe during WWII.
Upon discharge, he attended Ecole de Beaux Arts in Paris. He lived in Paris for many years before settling in Santa Fe, NM. He died there on December 31, 2008.
