Biography Ernst Hayn
Ernest von Hayn was hired as an officer and Marshal of Prince Frederick of Württemberg. Born on February 12, 1822, von Hayn devoted himself to the arts after his military career. For this, he did an apprenticeship under Stuttgart sculptor Theodor von Wagner and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe.
Numerous travels took him to France, Italy and Spain, where he was able to deepen his studies. Predominately von Hayn is known for his naturalistic animal sculptures, but his landscape paintings in oil and watercolor as well as his numerous vedute are acclaimed works.
These can be admired in numerous public collections, including the Alte Nationalgalerie Berlin, the Cultural History Museum Kaisertrutz
