Ulayu Pingwartok  (1904 – 1978)

A prominent Canadian Inuit* printmaker, Ulayu Pingwartok was born near Lake Harbour, Baffin Island, Northwest Territories (now Nunavut) and died in Cape Dorset, Baffin Island. Hundreds of her lithographs*, stonecut prints*, stencil prints* and felt pen drawings are in the permanent collections of Canadian museums.

According to the Canadian Heritage Information Network* and museum catalogues, her works are in the permanent collections of the Canadian Museum of History (Gatineau, Quebec), McMaster Museum of Art (Hamilton, Ontario), McMichael Canadian Art Collection (Kleinburg, Ontario), Mendel Art Gallery (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan), Museum of Anthropology (University of British Columbia, Vanc   ...  Displaying 750 of 5758 characters.
