Biography   Gyuri Hollosy

Gyuri Hollosy, talented sculptor and teacher, is now in his second year as associate professor of art at Bethany College 1987. Gyuri formerly was assistant professor of sculpture at Washington University. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Ohio University, a Master of Fine Arts degree from Tulane University, and also studied at the Cleveland Institute of Art, Cleveland, Ohio.

Of Hungarian descent, Hollosy was born in Germany after his father fled Hungary. Since moving to the United States, he has served his new homeland for over five years in the U.S. Coast Guard and has become a noted sculptor and teacher.
