Cora Alice Akers Wright was born in Coalinga , California on March 18, 1908. She won a scholarship to the Federal School of Art in Minneapolis and continued later at the Alexander School in San Diego .
She settled in Arroyo Grande, California in 1936 and was a founder of El Camino Art Association.
Her work won many awards in California State Fairs and other exhibitions before her demise in San Luis Obispo , California on August 15, 1992.
