Biography   Charles Miner

Charles Miner began his career as a glass artist in 1974. The following year he purchased land in rural New Mexico that was part of an artist commune in the 1960s. There was a huge chicken coop on the property and it was quite an adventure for Charles to gut it and transform it into a glass studio. By 1990, the complex evolved into a hot glass and casting facility, a school with an apprentice program, and today it affords studio and gallery space for not only Charles but seven other glass artists as well.  
In 1990 he had the opportunity to refine his skills, studying under David Reekie and Clifford Rainey, at Pilchuck Glass School in Stanwood, Washington. Initially, he focused on glass blowing techniques with a strong bas   ...  Displaying 750 of 6396 characters.
