Biography Nahat Nahapetian
Born in Jolfa, Esfahan, Iran in 1921, Nahat Nahapetian learned art from the Academy of Arts in Esfahan and other masters of painting. His brother Yervand Nahapetian was also a very accomplished artist and Nahat followed in the path of his brother.
At the same time that he painted, Nahat also worked for the Cultural Heritage Organization. He held many exhibitions in Tehran, Esfahan, and large cities in Western Europe.
Nahat Nahapetian mainly painted historical architecture in Esfahan and Shiraz. He also painted many scenes in the lives of Iranian tribes such as the Qashqai, the Kurd & the Bakhtiari. Many of his works are in collections in Iran, Europe, and the USA.
