Goodrich, James Harry (1878-1940)
James Harry Goodrich, son of Hiram Carlton and Anna Elizabeth Goodrich, was born at the home of his grandfather, James H. Goodrich, a Baptist minister, in Colon, St. Joseph County, Michigan, November 29, 1878; and died at his own home in Bordeaux, Davison County, Tennessee, April 3, 1940.
In 1902 he married Pearl Ludington, of Detroit, who was a student at the Detroit Art Institute, which he also attended. Soon after they removed to Battle Creek, Michigan, where he was engaged in art work.
In 1915 Mr. Goodrich was called to connect with the Southern Publishing Association as an artist. In 1922 he began teaching art at George Peabody College for Teachers,
