Following is the Baltimore Sun newspaper obituary of Frank Redelius, August 28, 2100

On June 22, 2011, Franklin Harrison Redelius , died at Good Samaritan Hospital, Baltimore, of congestive heart failure. Born June 21, 1925, the son of Franklin and Evelyn Redelius, Frank was the beloved husband of Mary Gray Redelius, who predeceased him by many years.

As a young man he fought in the Second World War in the Pacific Theatre, and was part of the third wave of marines to invade Iwo Jima in 1945. After the war, Frank studied under Jacques Maroger, the former technical director of the Louvre Museum laboratory in Paris, and like Maroger, he devoted his life to the study of the oil based medium of the Old Masters.
