Gino Perera also spent time at Woodstock, New York with his Boston Museum School teachers Herman Dudley Murphy, Leonard Ochtman and Birge Harrison. In Woodstock, he participated in the Byrdcliffe Colony, the center of the American Arts and Crafts Movement. His painting, "Moonlight", was included in a retrospective exhibition of the Byrdcliffe Colony by the Cornell Museum of Art.
