Hollis Williford

Hollis Randall Williford was active/lived in Texas, California, Colorado.  Hollis Williford is known for sculpture, landscape and frontier figure painting.

Biography  
Hollis Williford


A native of Texas who settled in Loveland, Colorado, Hollis Williford became a sculptor and painter of western figures.  He began his study at the University of Texas at Arlington and finished with a degree from the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles.

He worked for a brief period as a freelance illustrator and then moved to Colorado to dedicate himself to easel painting, charcoal drawing and bronze sculpture.  Twice he won the Prix de West competition, and his 12-foot bronze, Welcome Sundown, is permanently featured at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City.

His paintings and sculptures are in numerous other collections including the Thomas Gilcrease Museum, Ge  ...  Displaying 750 of 2797 characters.
