Innes Fripp was the nephew of the Bristol landscape painter George Arthur Fripp RWS (1813 - 1896) [see AskART] and Alfred Downing Fripp RWS (1822 - 1895) [see AskART]. He came from a long line of artists, including his great-great grandfather, Nicholas Pocock (1741 - 1821) [see AskART], the prominent marine painter from Bristol. Innes Fripp was a decorative, pictorial and portrait painter and stained glass illustrator.
