Isabel Bacheler


Isabel Bacheler graduated from Converse Art School in Norwich, Connecticut. Along with her husband, Monroe William Smith, she helped found American Youth Hostels in 1934. They also founded Camp Fellowship in Bryson City, North Carolina. She painted watercolors to illustrate her writings and poems.
