Biography
Johan Ulrik Bredsdorff

Johan Ulrik Bredsdorff was a Schüler Vilhelm Kyhns and a close friend of Godfred Christensen, so it is not surprising that he devoted himself to the Danish landscape painting.  The horizontally-building composition captures the bright sunlight that is reflected in the sea water, atmospheric one.

In delicate impasto brushstrokes Bredsdorff are the rocks and their vegetative planting in the front and middle back. Compared to Kyhn and Christensen are better able to capture a warm, summery mood Bredsdorff.
