John Clifford De Grasse (August 4th, 1919 – September 20th, 1989)

John De Grasse was born in Salem, Massachusetts and grew up in Portland, Maine. De Grasse is a lateral descendant of Admiral Francois Joseph Paul de Grasse. John De Grasse attended The University of Maine and The Corcoran School in Washington, D.C..He enlisted in the Marine Corp in 1940 and served in World War II and Korea.
His works were widely seen on the covers of The Marine Corp Gazette and Leatherneck magazines. De Grasse is credited for over 100 Covers between the two magazines. His first (or one of his first) was in 1943, six months after Walt Disney’s Insignia Cover of The First Airdrome Battalion, in July for The Leatherneck Maga  ...  Displaying 750 of 2487 characters.
