Biography  
Mary M. Wasson


Mary M. Wasson was born in Virginia on March 7, 1872. 

Wasson was teaching in Bloomington, Illinois in 1910 and in Fresno, CA in 1920.  In 1927 the Kingsley Art Club held its first meeting in Wasson's classroom at Main High School in Sacramento. 

She continued teaching in the public schools there until 1942 when she retired to Los Angeles. 

A spinster, she died there on January 24, 1964.
