Raymond Daussy

 (born 1919)
Raymond Daussy is active/lives in France.  Raymond Daussy is known for painting.

Raymond Daussy

A rare artist, Raymond Daussy trained at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Rouen, then in Paris, before exhibiting regularly at the Salon d'Automne from 1941 on.  In 1947, after the Second World War, Daussy was one of the founding members of the group Surrealism-Revolutionary, which was formed in opposition to Surrealist Andre Breton exiled to the United States during the war.

Oscillating constantly between an attraction for realism and a real aspiration for poetic reverie, the art of Raymond Daussy, which combines a particularly refined material with frames often unexpected, always surprises by its inventiveness.
