Thomas Hal Boyd was born in Portland, Oregon on Dec. 6, 1896. Boyd graduated from the California School of Fine Arts. During WWI he flew the Curtis Jenny Biplane for the Army Air Corps. After the war he homesteaded in Shasta Valley and later managied Joaquin Miller Park in Oakland. As well as a painter, he also sang opera. After moving to Carmel Highlands in 1946, he produced operas for the Pacific Opera Company. He died in Carmel Highlands, CA on February 10, 1990.
