Vitold Bialynitski-Birulla (1872-1957) studied at the Art School in Kiev under Mykola Ivanovyc Murasko.  He then attended the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture under Sergei Alexandrovich Korvin, Vasily Dmitrievic Polenov and Illarion Michailovich Prjanisnikov.

From 1908, he was a professor at the Academy in St. Petersburg.  He was a member of the Association of Artists of the Revolutionary Russia, and the 'Union of Russian Artists'.  He participated in numerous exhibitions and won gold medals in Munich and Barcelona.  From 1947, he was a member of the Academy of the USSR and an honorary member of the Belarusian Academy of Sciences. Vitold Bialynitski-Birulla, also spelled Witold Bjalynizkij-Birulja, was born in Bjalynitsch in 1872 and died in 1957 in Moscow.  A Russian painter, Vitold studied at the Moscow Art School, under J. Prjenischnikoff and S. Korovin.  Since 1908 he was a teacher at the Moscow Academy.
