Born in Humboldt, IA on Feb. 21, 1880. Gillette was a graduate of Pomona College and UCLA. While a resident of La Verne, CA, she taught at San Jose State Teachers College from 1924. She died in Los Angeles on July 28, 1940. Member: Pacific AA; Calif. Mural Painters. Exh: Calif.-Pacific Int'l Expo (San Diego), 1935.
