Philip L. Nesbitt was active/lived in Oregon, California.  Philip Nesbitt is known for painting.

Philip Nesbitt

Born in Oregon on Dec. 20, 1905.  Early in his career Nesbitt worked in the Disney Studios in Los Angeles; however, by 1932 he was a resident of San Francisco.  His marriage to Lady Mary Faith Montagu in 1938 ended in divorce in 1940.  His last years were spent on the Monterey Peninsula as a resident of Pacific Grove.  Nesbitt died at the Monterey County Hospital on June 9, 1953.  Primarily a watercolorist, he derived his subject matter from Haiti (1929), Hawaii (1930), the Orient (1936), and northern California.
