José García Ocejo studied Architecture at the UNAM, Arts in La Esmeralda and through a scholarship traveled Madrid and Austria to complete his studies. He is a multidisciplinary artist who likes to work with different techniques, is a connoisseur of Dadaism, lover of appearances and legendary for overflowing eroticism and desires of seduction. As is the case with portraits of women, which arise as apparitions, with beautiful, attractive and sensual faces that are flooded with flowers, fruits or fantastic animals.
In 1968, he was distinguished by the National Institute of Fine Arts and by the Committee of Terra Sancta of Milan. In 1988, the José García Ocejo Museum was inaugurated in his hometown. His works have been exhibited in museums, galleries and belong to private collections in Mexico and in the world.
