Born in New York in 1845. Peck was active in San Francisco at the turn of the century. As well as an artist, he was also a piano tuner and the husband of opera singer Bertha Apfels. In 1911 he moved to Los Angeles and remained until his demise on Nov. 27, 1921. His rare works include portraits and landscapes. Exh: Calif. State Fair, 1899; Mark Hopkins Inst. (SF), 1902.
