Biography  
Gino Raffaelli


Born in Tuscany, Italy on July 21, 1901. Raffaelli settled in Los Angeles in 1914. The following year he enrolled at the School for Illustration and Painting where he was a pupil of Vincent Cahill and William H. Rich. He shared a studio with Theodore Lukits for several years and was greatly influenced by him. During 1918-30 he worked for Foster & Kleiser (billboards) and then as art director for Pacific Outdoor Advertising until retirement in 1966. While in this capacity he painted fine art in his leisure. He lived in Bell, CA until his demise on Sept. 21, 1999. Member: Calif. Art Club.
