Born on July 18, 1895 in Minneapolis, MN. While working as a tour guide in Glacier Nat'l Park in 1914, Trano met Charlie Russell who taught him to paint. After moving to California in 1923, he worked for a greeting card company while studying printmaking. The subjects of his oils, etchings, and woodblock prints include landscapes, portraits, missions, and the Blackfeet Indians. He died in Whittier, CA on July 26, 1958. Member: Society of Calif.
