Helen Louise Moseley   (1883-1928)
Helen Moseley was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Timothy and Hattie Moseley.  She pursued her early interest in art, studying at the Art Institute of Chicago and at the Art Students League in New York. Her instructors included Hugh Breckenridge, Robert Henri, John Johansen, and in Gloucester, Massachusetts, with Charles Hawthorne. 

She was a member of the North Shore Art Association in Gloucester, and of the National Women Painters and Sculptors of New York.  She exhibited annually with the Scarab Club of Detroit and the Grand Rapids Arts Club, in addition to the Art Institute of Chicago.
