Earned a BA at Fort Hays State Univ. in 1961 and, in 1964, a MFA from the Univ. of Arizona, Tucson.  From 1967-79, she was Assistant Professor of Painting at Pasadena City College in California, and from 1985-91, Associate Professor of Art at Columbia Univ., New York.  Her paintings usually incorporate parallel horizontal lines.

Exhibitions: Ball State, 1963, 1966; Arizona Annual, 1963; Krannert Art Museum, 1969; Long Beach Art Museum, 1972; Whitney Museum of American Art, 1975.

Collections: Metropolitan Museum of Art; Los Angeles County Museum of Art; Dallas Museum of Art; the Panza di Biumo Collection, Varese, Italy; and the Museums of Moderner Kunst in Otterndorf, Wuppertal, Ingolstadt, Koln, and Munich.

Born in Hodgeman County, Kansas, she earned an MFA in 1964 from the University of Arizona in Tucson. From 1967 to 1979, she was Assistant Professor of Painting at Pasadena City College in California, and from 1985 to 1991, Associate Professor of Art at Columbia University in New York. Her residence has been in New York City.
