A sixth-generation New Zealander, Adele Earnshaw was born in Hastings
in 1949 and lived in Warkworth before immigrating with her family to
the U.S. Her childhood in New Zealand has had a major influence
on her work and choice of subject matter today.
Adele's paintings have been exhibited at the Natural History Museum in
New York and have toured Japan and Sweden with Birds in Art
exhibitions. She is a member of the Society of Animal
Adele was selected by her native New Zealand to design the first three
stamps for the Game Bird Habitat Stamp Programme, based on the U.S.
