Biography photo for Henry Van Wolf
The following is from Lee Blackinton Colvin:

Mr. Van Wolf was the President of the San Fernando Valley Professional
Artist's Guild in 1953. He resided in North Hollywood for a number of years
where he created the following sculptures: "Happy Family", Olivia De
Havilland". "Fighting Mountain Lions", and "Will Rogers." He worked out of a
large home which he used as his studio and lived in a small house next to the
large home studio. His sculpting ranged from small to over 60 feet high. I
saw a Bear on a ball that was that big. I believe the street he lived on was
Lankershim, but I am not sure of that.

I was very small when I knew Henry Van Wolf. He was from Germany, I believe, and spoke very softly. He was married and had one son that I know of. I knew this man when I was very young, around the ago of 5 years. So, some of my knowledge is vague.

He was commission by the City of Tarzana in the 60's to do a large sculpture
at the entrance to Tarzana on Lindley and Ventura Blvd. However, this was
canceled, I guess due to lack of funds.

He was a friend of my parents, George and Natalie Blackinton.
