Freda Catherine Fischer, Impressionist Painter, was born in New York
City on December 6, 1889. At a later age she relocated to
California, settling in Carmel, on the Monterey Peninsula.
She attended art classes through the Adult Education programs in
Carmel, California, and later had intense studies with John Cunningham,
and well known seascape artist, Bennett Bradbury. Her seascape
paintings reflect her time spent with Bradbury.
Fischer exhibited widely on the Monterey Peninsula, and was a long time
artist member of the prestigious Carmel Art Association. She
exhibited at the Monterey Museum of Art, the Carmel Art Association
