Robert Eadie (b.1877 / d.1954)

Robert Eadie was born in 1877 in Sydney.

Eadie's family lived in Glasgow.  Due to an oppressing step-mother, Robert's older brother William began looking out for Robert.  When Eadie began to show talent in arts, his brother helped him with gaining an education.

Eadie studied in Scotland, Paris and Munich.  In 1966, he received a Diploma of Fine Art Painting and Drawing, National Art School, East Sydney Technical College.

He painted with both oils and watercolors, Eadie also created detailed pencil drawings embellished with watercolor washes. He was a member of the Glasgow Society of Painter-Etchers.  In 1917, Eadie was elected to membership of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour (R.S.W.).  By the time he was 33, Eadie was a well established artist
Eadie work was exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Royal Scottish Academy, the R.S.W., the Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts and Aberdeen Artists' Society.  In 2004, Eadie exhibited and was a resident at M16 studio.
