Born in 1941 in Fujian, China, and then immigrated to Taiwan. Huang was
invited by the U.S Department of State in 1971 to hold the cultural and
art exhibition, and then he stayed in New York up till now. Huang
combines Chinese philosophy and Western paintings techniques, with a
more abstract, surrealistic style, using free lines and strong infused
colors on the Chinese rice paper and Canvas to express Chinese
traditional painting along with wild and bold colors like Fauvism,
putting the artist's own created symbols mixed and hidden with Chinese
pictograph and landscapes, conducting the signature symbols and personal
unique style, often praised as the "Eastern Matisse."
