Moise Jacobber, whose original name was Jakob Ber, left Germany and
established himself in Paris. A pupil of Spaendonck, he specialized in
representations of fruit and flowers, eventually becoming painter to the
Sévres porcelain manufacture. Jacobber exhibited at the Salon between
1822 and 1855, and his works were shown in several French cities as well
as at the British Institution in London.
