The following is from Fred Oldman:

Mr. Cusie, who lives on Long Island, combines his love of detail and fidelity to the materials he uses to bring out the feelings and life-styles of city people, past and present.

His works, intended to bring out emotion and mystery, depict stained brickwork, aged, crumbling facades and faded old signs advertising long- past events.
