Biography  
Richard Quick


Richard Quick, born in c.1860 in Bristol.  In the 1880s the Secretary (actually the first Curator) of Wolverhampton Art Gallery, opened in 1884.  Six of his paintings were exhibited at Royal Birmingham Society of Artists in 1882-1889.  His paintings The Bavarian Blacksmith and Shire Horse were acquired by Wolverhampton Art Gallery. 

In the 1890 he moved to London and became a curator of Japanese collection at the newly opened Horniman Museum.  From 1921-on, he served as curator of the Russell-Cotes Museum in Bornemouth.

Richard Quick died after 1932.
