Nick Quijano was born in New York and resides in Old San Juan in Puerto Rico. In 1970, he graduated in Arts with several honors from the University of Puerto Rico while completing his studies in architecture and design. Beginning in 1979, he dedicated his life to painting, and in 1980, Nick presented his first individual exhibition of drawings and watercolors.
Two of his most famous exhibitions have been Caribbean Cornucopia and Creole Bodegón, which were simultaneously presented in 1993, at the Museum of the Americas and the San Juan Bautista Gallery. His work captures the beauty of the tropical fauna and flora that characterizes the Caribbean's vegetation.
