Eugeniusz Zak (Zak) spent his childhood years in Mohylno and from 1892 in Warsaw. In 1902 he moved to Paris where he studied at the School of Fine Arts under supervision of J.L.Gerome and at the Académie Colarossi under supervision of A.Bernard. In 1903 he traveled around Italy, and then to Munich where he studied at the Academy for six months. In 1904 he returned to Paris and made his début at the Autumn Salon. He stayed in Paris until 1914 when he moved to Vence in Nice. Zak spent the years 1916-1921 in Poland. In 1921 he moved to Germany; he lived in Bonn and Berlin. In 1923 he once again returned to Paris. Zak exhibited a lot. He participated in exhibitions at the Paris Salons as well as exhibitions in Barcelona (1912), Venice (Bien ...
